Hey People:
As you know, CA is so close to the passage of a same-sex marriage bill. All that is needed now is the Governor's signature. Even though he's threatened to veto it, he HASN'T yet. Here is an opportunity to tell him that the people of CA are for legalizing same-sex marriage. So please call him! It only takes a few seconds.
Call his office at (916) 445-2841 and follow these simple steps. (You don't even have to talk to anyone!)
1. Press "2" to comment on legislation
2. Press "1" to comment on AB 849 (AB 849 is the gender neutral bill that will allow same-sex couples to marry)
3. Press "1" to support it
I assume the 'radical right' is also calling. So please forward this to your friends and family who might lend their support.
I ask that you do this so that when I might actually find a partner or a mate I'll have the same rights (and responsibilities) as any other legally married couple. This would mean that I could visit my lover (whatever gender they are) in the hospital and make choices on their care if they are incapacitated currently reserved for "family only" critical situations. Please take action and make the call NOW before you forget!
If you aren't supportive of this due to some religious or social dogma I hope that you allow apathy to prevail and do nothing. Many thanks for your lack of action.
