Fairly new Rufus fan here... Since the art teachers lyrics read... "I was just a girl then..." I'm wondering is this song covered by Rufus or an original? If covered, I'm curious to know whos it is.

    This is a Rufus original that he wrote after befriending a 'hot' art teacher at his gym. He's writing it from the little girl inside him, which I think all of us have.
